1 Killed, 2 Hurt in Washington Heights Crash: NYPD

One person was killed and two other people were hurt in a crash at an upper Manhattan intersection early Monday.

Two cars collided at West 157th Street and Amsterdam Avenue in Washington Heights at about 4:30 a.m., according to the NYPD.

The passenger of one of the vehicles was in cardiac arrest when the FDNY arrived and was pronounced dead at the scene, police say.

The drivers of both vehicles were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries.

Images from the scene show a third car that appears to have been involved, but police say the vehicle was most likely parked.

It’s not clear what caused the crash, and no arrests have been made.
