Brooklyn, Queens Hotels Raided in Sex Trafficking Ring

Authorities from federal, state and city agencies raided hotels in Brooklyn and Queens Thursday as part of an investigation into sex trafficking.

A hotel at 39th Street and Fifth Avenue in Brooklyn was raided, as was a hotel near Citi Field in Queens.

At least one person, the owner of the Brooklyn hotel, was arrested in the raids, sources familiar with the investigation said. Officers and agents could be seen outside and on the roof of that hotel Thursday.

In New Jersey, agents rescued six under-age trafficking victims and arrested two alleged pimps as part of a sting operation.

Homeland Security, the FBI, Brooklyn DA, NYPD and state DAs took part in the raids.
