A man was shot and killed by a retired NYPD officer as he was robbing a pub in Queens, police said.
The 30-something-year-old man entered the Parkside Pub in Whitestone shortly before 4 a.m., according to police.
He allegedly took out a gun and stole money from the cash register before one of the patrons, a retired NYPD officer, shot him once in the face.
The robbery suspect died from his injuries.
Further details, including the identities of the two men, weren’t immediately known.
