Police Search for “Platinum” and “Slim” After Bronx Man Is Found Fatally Shot in Crashed Car

A man was shot and killed in the Bronx early last Friday and police say they're looking for two men in connection with his death.

Lionel Samuel, 55, was found shot in a car that had crashed into a tree on Bronx Boulevard in Wakefield. Another man in the car was also shot. 

Samuel had been shot in his torso and the 54-year-old man with him was shot in his leg. 

Emergency responders took the two men to Jacobi Hospital, where Samuel was pronounced dead on arrival. The condition of the other man wasn’t immediately known.

On Thursday, police said they were looking for Jonathan Jay, aka “Platinum,” and Sheldon Edmond, aka “Slim,” in connection with Samuel’s death.

Police said the two men were seen driving in a 2015 Nissan Altima with New York license plate HFB7171.
