Queens Man Gets 75 Years in Prison for 2014 Crime Spree

Prosecutors say a 32-year-old Queens man got 75 years in prison for a one-night crime spree in which he shot a man, carjacked two vehicles at gunpoint, pistol-whipped a driver, shot at a group of people and broke into a home.

Clinton Lawson was sentenced on Monday after being convicted of attempted murder and multiple counts of assault, robbery, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.

The reign of terror began with the shooting of a man in Crown Heights in July, 2014.

After fleeing, prosecutors say he carjacked a driver and pistol whipped him. Then crashed into parked cars and shot at people who were chasing him. No one was hit.

He then carjacked another vehicle, crashed that, and broke into a home before being arrested.
