NYPD Officer Knocked Onto Subway Tracks by Fare Dodger: Police

Police are searching for the man who knocked an NYPD officer onto subway tracks early Sunday morning and three fare dodgers who were with him in Queens, authorities said.

The officer was pushed onto the tracks just after midnight at the Parsons/Archer Avenue subway station in Jamaica.

Two men and two women avoided the subway fare by walking through an entrance gate. When two uniformed officers tried to stop them, the group ran away, according to police.

Then one of the men allegedly knocked an officer onto the subway tracks. The officer’s partner helped him off the subway tracks as the group of four suspects disappeared into the night.

The suspects are all in their early-to-mid 20s.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
