Let's Go, Mets: Rallies Planned for Queens and Long Island

Fans of the New York Mets will be able to express their pride and support at rallies in Queens and Nassau County.

The rallies are scheduled for Monday, the day before the World Series between the Mets and the Kansas City Royals starts. Game one is Tuesday night in Kansas City.

In Queens, the rally is scheduled for 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at Queens Borough Hall. Queens Borough President Melinda Katz says former Mets players John Franco and Edgardo Alfonzo are scheduled to make appearances.

At 5 p.m., Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano is hosting a rally at the county' executive building in Mineola. The building's dome will be lit in blue and orange, the Mets' colors.
