2 Men Wanted for Installing Card Skimmers at ATMs Across Brooklyn and Queens: NYPD

Police are looking for two men who they say installed card skimmers at locations across Brooklyn and Queens, a scheme connected to 20 grand larcenies earlier this year.

The skimmers were installed between April 16 and June 15 at numerous ATM bank locations in the boroughs, police said. This allowed the duo to allegedly make debit cards so they could make withdrawals from victims' bank accounts.

Brooklyn precincts covering the neighborhoods of Flatlands, Boro Park, Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Crown Heights, Bedford Stuyvesant and Williamsburg. Queens precincts covering the neighborhoods of Kew Gardens, Richmond Hill, Flushing and Forest Hills were also hit, according to police.

Earlier this month, police said that ATM skimming thefts have quadrupled in the East Elmhurst, Jackson Heights and North Corona neighborhoods in Queens.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
