NYC Man Charged in 2009 Homicide Case on Long Island: Police

A Manhattan man was charged with murder Sunday in connection with a 6-year-old homicide case on Long Island.

Daniel Greenspan, 28, of East 20th Street, is accused of firing multiple shots into a Brooklyn man who was found in the road on Kellum Street in West Babylon on Jan. 31, 2009, Suffolk County police investigators said.

The victim, later identified as 32-year-old Michael Sinclair, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he died at about 4 a.m. on the day of the shooting.

Greenspan is charged with second-degree murder and is expected to appear in court Monday for an arraignment in Central Islip.

There was no indication that he had obtained a lawyer who could comment on the charge.
