Police are looking for a man who raped a homeless woman as she slept on a Harlem street in the early morning hours this week.
The 22-year-old woman was sleeping near Park Avenue and East 125th Street at 5 a.m. on Thursday when the man approached her, police said. The man allegedly laid next to the woman, removed her clothes and began sexually assaulting her.
At some point during the assault the woman woke up and confronted the man. The suspect took off and walked down East 125th towards Lexington Avenue, police said.
The woman was taken to an area hospital where she was treated and released.
