Members of the NYPD's Mounted Unit saved a dog that was hit by a car on the Belt Parkway.
A photo posted to the NYPD Special Ops Twitter page shows officers carrying the dog to a waiting police car.
Police said the dog was taken to a local veterinarian and is recovering.
