A Connecticut man is accused of groping six 10- and 11-year-old girls while chaperoning a group of children on a field trip to New York City.
The NYPD says 35-year-old Tomas Manzano of Stamford was charged with sexual abuse child, endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest. They say the alleged incident occurred on the bus they were traveling on around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say when they approached Manzano, he appeared to be intoxicated. They say he resisted arrest and was taken to Bellevue Hospital for evaluation.
Police say Manzano was one of the adult chaperones on the trip.
The name of his lawyer was not immediately on record.
