Blood Spatters Found in Home of Missing Bronx Woman: Sources

A 69-year-old Bronx woman hasn’t been seen in days, and law enforcement sources tell NBC 4 New York that multiple blood spatters were found in her apartment.

Patricia Myers was last seen Wednesday afternoon at her apartment on the Grand Concourse, near East 169th Street.

Police at the 44th precinct said they've questioned Myers’ nephew about her disappearance.

Sources say that he fought with police when they asked him to come to the precinct and that he had been living with the woman when she disappeared.

The sources said that he recently contacted another family member and said he had done something wrong. But it's not entirely clear if the comment was in reference to his aunt's disappearance.

Neighbors said they were shocked to hear fo the disappearance and characterized Myers as "caring."

"She's a great person," said one neighbor.

Myers has heart disease and COPD, a lung disease, and uses an oxygen tank, according to police. There was a sign on her apartment door warning that an oxygen tank was in use there.

Myers’ medical condition has only added to the concern about her disappearance.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
