Woman Punches Brooklyn Groper in the Face With Keys

Police say that a woman who had been groped on a Brooklyn street last month hit back, striking her unusually short assailant in the face with a set of keys.

The 37-year-old woman was walking on Eldert Street in Bushwick at about 5 a.m. on Jan. 17 when the 4 foot, 11 inch tall suspect walked up behind her.

Authorities say that's when he grabbed her by the shoulder and pulled her close, according to the NYPD. The man then grabbed the woman's buttocks.

The woman fought the man off however, taking out her keys and hitting the man in the face with them.

The man ran off after being hit, cops say.

The woman didn't have any lasting injuries in the episode.

Anyone with information about the groping is asked to call Crime Stoppers 800-577-TIPS.
