All New York City beaches will be closed to swimming, bathing and surfing on Wednesday, the Parks Department said Tuesday.
NYC Parks cited "life-threatening rip currents" from Post-Tropical Cyclone Hermine, which was still churning the waters around the tri-state area Tuesday afternoon.
Still, the storm was steadily moving away, and the National Weather Service dropped the tropical storm warnings for the region.
