It's a warmer than the average mid-November day, but it's not exactly a nice one.
Showers and heavy rain began moving over the tri-state beginning Thursday morning, and the rain got heavier and steadier in the afternoon. The wet weather is expected to continue late Thursday as temperatures remain in the low to mid 60s, Storm Team 4 says.
No widespread flooding has been reported from Thursday's downpours, but the wet weather has mucked up roadways and drenched pedestrians. Rain totals are expected to stay below 1 inch for most of the tri-state area, according to Storm Team 4.
Gusty breezes are forecast to continue through the night and will peak around 30 mph, tapering off as the night wears on.
The storms should leave by midnight, taking the balmy temperatures with them.
The cool-down begins on Friday, when highs are expected to be in the mid-to-high 50s. The weather will be dry, with a fall breeze and plenty of sunshine.
Temperatures will continue to drop this weekend. Saturday will be a nice mid-autumn day: temperatures in the low 50s, partly sunny skies and cool, dry air.

Sunday will see slightly cooler temps and a slight chance of rain. Expect highs in the upper 40s and cloudy, windy weather.
Chilly conditions are forecast to continue into next week, Storm Team 4 says. Both Monday and Tuesday will see temperatures in the 40s, with slightly warmer weather on Tuesday. But the sunshine should continue, making for a pleasant start to Thanksgiving week.
