Police arrested a teen Sunday for allegedly vandalizing the 9/11 Memorial at MCU Park in Brooklyn.
The 15-year-old boy allegedly spray painted the letters "JD SMD" in orange on the Coney Island memorial.
Police received a call about the vandalism just before 4 p.m.
When officers arrived, the teen ran from the scene, according to police. He was arrested a short time later.
It is unclear what charges the teen faces in the case.
