A 63-year-old man was struck and killed by a car as he crossed a street in Harlem on Tuesday evening.
The man, who has not been identified, was crossing Morningside Avenue at West 124th Street when he was hit by a red 2009 Saturn just before 7:45 p.m. Police said he was crossing the street outside of the crosswalk when the car hit him.
EMS rushed him to Saint Luke's Hospital with severe head injuries. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police said the driver of the Saturn stayed at the scene.
No arrests have been made and an investigation by the NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad is ongoing.
