At Least 4 Arrested After Facebook Video Causes Gun Scare at Gramercy Hotel: NYPD

Police arrested at least four people on Tuesday evening after they allegedly live-streamed themselves with what turned out to be BB guns at the Gramercy Park Hotel in Manhattan.

The NYPD say guards at the hotel were made aware of the Facebook Live video around 4 p.m. They believed the guns were real and called police, who rushed to the hotel on Lexington Avenue.

Cell phone video shows police arriving at the scene and shutting down surrounding streets as rain pours down.

Police raided room 1112 on the 11th floor and arrested at least four people on unknown charges. Six pellet guns and drug paraphernalia were found in the room, authorities said.

No injuries were reported.
