2 Cops Hurt After Out-of-Control Car Barrels Toward Them: NYPD

Two officers were hurt Sunday night after a car nearly hit them in Brooklyn, police said.

The officers were conducting a traffic stop in East New York around 11 p.m. when they had to jump out of the way of an oncoming car.

Both cops jumped out of the way in the nick of time, police said.

The two officers were taken to Jamaica Hospital. Both of them suffered minor ankle injuries from jumping out of the way of the car.

The driver of the car was taken to Brookdale Hospital and has been placed under arrest on suspicion of DWI. Charges against him are pending.

The driver who was pulled over during the traffic stop was not injured.
