Police ID Long Island Man in Wife's Stabbing Death

Police have identified a man suspected of stabbing his wife to death on Long Island before turning the knife on himself.

Suffolk County police say 31-year-old Kerwyn Jaggernauth was found with self-inflicted stab wounds inside the couple's West Babylon home Saturday afternoon along with 32-year-old Sonja Williams.

Jaggernauth, who is the father of one of Williams' two children, hasn't been charged. He has been hospitalized and remains in critical condition. Police say he is expected to live.

Police say neither child was home during the attack.

Suffolk County Police Commissioner Tim Sini has said Williams was apparently killed around 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

It wasn't immediately known if the couple had a history of domestic violence.
