Another Man Seen Running Naked in Long Island Park: Police

Police say they're searching for at least two other men who was seen running naked inside a park on Long Island, days after they charged a man suspected of doing the same thing.

Police say a 51-year-old woman reported seeing a man running naked from the waist down in the 432-acre Massapequa Preserve on Sunday afternoon.

The woman said the man was running the opposite way wearing only a dark green sweatshirt with a hood covering his face. In the other three cases, the man was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and nothing else.

Police arrested a 57-year-old Amityville man on Friday and charged him with public lewdness after people reported a naked man was approaching women in the park.

Police say the cases do not appear to be related and have increased patrols throughout the park.

Parkgoers said they were concerned about the naked men, but several said they weren't going to stop their daily routines.

"I just felt angry and said 'Damnit, I'm going to walk here anyway,'" said Martha Webster. "It's a beautiful day."
