Man Arraigned in Westchester Roadside Body Case

The 27-year-old man charged with murder after a body was found by a jogger in Westchester this summer remains in a county jail.

Joaquin A. Recinos-Garcia was arrested Friday night by Ossining Police. He was charged with second degree murder and arraigned Saturday.

On August 24, a jogger running in Westchester County found a dead man on the side of a road. Police say the jogger called authorities around 6:30 a.m. to report the grisly discovery on Route 133 and Tavano Road in Ossining.

An autopsy revealed that the 60-year-old victim — later identified as Luis Blanco, of Yonkers — had died after being stabbed multiple times.

The last homicide in Ossining before Blanco's death was on Aug. 26, 2014, according to authorities.
