NY Man Accused of Setting Fire to Girlfriend's Truck, Home

A suburban New York man faces attempted murder charges for allegedly setting a fire after a fight with his girlfriend.

Police say 20-year-old Neftaly Roque-Ramirez set fire to a truck and parts of a Spring Valley house where his girlfriend lived on Wednesday.

The Journal News reports that firefighters put out the fire, which destroyed the truck and caused minor damage to the West Street house.

Roque-Ramirez, of Spring Valley, also faces charges of second-degree arson and attempted burglary.

It wasn't immediately clear if he had a lawyer who could comment on the charges.

A Spring Valley judge ordered him held without bail pending a grand jury review of the charges.
