An SUV slammed into the front of a Long Island barber shop on Friday afternoon, sending the front of the shop tumbling down, police said.
The accident happened at a row of stores at 1300 Montauk Highway in Oakdale. Photos of the scene show a Toyota RAV4 wedged into the front door of the barber shop amid crippled windows and smashed bricks.
The driver of the Toyota RAV4 wasn't seriously injured in the crash, police said.
The driver was not seriously injured in the crash, police said. No one was reported injured inside the shop.
Firefighters pulled the vehicle from the building. The buildings department in Islip checked the stability of the building and it was deemed safe.
