NY Aquarium Reopens After Power Problems; Animals OK

The New York Aquarium says it had to close unexpectedly because of power issues Sunday morning that were resolved by midafternoon.

The Aquarium says all of the life-support systems at the Coney Island facility were working and the animals were not impacted. It is unclear what caused the power problems.

The Aquarium in Brooklyn is run by the Wildlife Conservation Society, which also operates the city's zoos.

The New York Aquarium was set to resume normal hours Monday.
