New Jersey Woman Killed by Crocodile

A New Jersey woman was killed by a crocodile while snorkeling in India's Andaman Islands last month, according to a State Department spokesman.

Lauren Failla, 25, of Morristown, was vacationing at a resort  with her boyfriend when she went missing on April 28. Her body was found two days later.

U.S. State Department spokesman Michael Tran confirmed the death Wednesday to the Daily Record of Parsippany. He said Indian authorities continue to investigate the death.

A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Failla had just completed a master's degree at the Sotheby's Art Institute in London.

Failla's death comes four years after her older sister Emily was killed in a rock-climbing accident in Washington state.
