Several Injured After Van Narrowly Misses Tanker Truck, Overturns: Witness

A speeding van overturned after narrowly missing a tanker truck in Jersey City, injuring a family inside the vehicle, according to unconfirmed witness reports.

The van overturned outside the BP gas station at Erie and 14th streets late Sunday or early Monday, leaving a family inside crying for help.

According to a gas station worker who helped rescue the family, the van was allegedly speeding and just missed hitting a tanker truck before the crash.

A family of eight was in the van when it overturned, although it's unclear exactly how many people suffered injuries.

Three children, including a baby, were apparently among the injured, and a man who was unconscious at the scene was taken to an area hospital.
