Hour-Long Delays on NJ Transit, Amtrak After Power Problem Suspends Service

Commuters are facing delays of up to an hour on NJ Transit and Amtrak rail lines after a power supply problem forced suspensions in and out of New York City.

NJ Transit says Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line service has resumed, but customers are advised to expect lingering delays throughout the morning.

Midtown Direct service, which had been operating through Hoboken, was restored, and PATH and buses are honoring NJ Transit rail tickets.

Amtrak customers should also expect delays between New York and Philadelphia.
