Investigators Examine NJ Teen's Computer

Investigators are examining a 14-year-old's computer after he was found alone in a smoke filled apartment with PVC pipe, duct tape, and suspicious drawings, a police source said.

Around 5:30 p.m .Wednesday evening a 911 call summoned firefighters and police to 266 Broad Ave. in Leonia, N.J.

When responders entered the second-floor apartment, they found the teenager with a pot on the stove and lots of smoke coming from the kitchen.

Police evacuated the building out of precaution. Residents say they smelled smoke but many believed it was foul cooking odors.

Police say the 14-year-old and his father are being cooperative in this case.

They are allowing detectives to examine the teenager's computer to see what kind of internet sites he's been viewing.

No charges have been filed in the case and the 14-year-old is in his father's custody.
