Three people were hospitalized after a street shooting in Newark Friday night, police said.
Authorities say two men and a 17-year-old boy were wounded in the shooting that occurred shortly after 6 p.m. on Avon Avenue. The victims were found by city police officers who were responding to reports of shots fired.
The three victims remained hospitalized Saturday in stable condition. Their names have not been released.
A motive for the shooting remains under investigation and further details about the incident have not been disclosed.
No arrests have been made.
