Former NJ Radio Host Found Shot to Death in Bedroom

April Kauffman, who was well-known in the South Jersey community, was found with multiple gunshot wounds inside a bedroom in her Linwood home

The Atlantic County prosecutor says police are working toward making an arrest in the fatal shooting of a radio show host known widely as an advocate for veterans.

Prosecutor Theodore Housel said Friday police have enough information to believe they are on a path to solving the killing of 47-year-old April Kauffman of Linwood. But he is providing no other details at this time.

Kauffman was found shot multiple times in the bedroom of her home. Housel says a handyman discovered her body late Thursday morning.

Kauffman owned a catering business and hair salon but also hosted a couple of different radio shows, including one the day before her death.

Housel says there is no indication the killing had anything to do with her radio work.
