N.J. Parents Miffed Over Botched Inauguration Tour

Parents of some North Jersey students who paid $2,400 or more to attend a five-day inauguration tour of Washington D.C. are demanding their money back.

They say their children missed many of the historic events -- including Obama's swearing-in -- because they were caught in crowds, told it was too cold to attend some activities, or were forced to wait for others who became separated from the group.

Several parents tell the Record of Bergen County that they'll give the educational tour company Congressional Youth Leadership Council until Jan. 30 to respond to the allegations before possibly taking legal action.

A company spokeswoman tells the newspaper there were logistical challenges during the inauguration and they are communicating with families to make sure their concerns are addressed.
