Most of NJ Under Fire Weather Watch on Wednesday

The National Weather Service issued the advisory on Tuesday afternoon for 16 of the state's 21 counties

Most of New Jersey will be under a fire weather watch on Wednesday.

The National Weather Service issued the advisory on Tuesday afternoon for 16 of the state's 21 counties.

It says dry conditions across the region, combined with low humidity, creates the potential for dangerous fires to develop during most of Wednesday. And if that happens, the flames could be rapidly spread by strong winds that could gust up to 25 mph.

The advisory will be in effect from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Salem, Somerset, Sussex and Warren.
