Missing Autistic Boy Found in NYC

A 16-year-old boy with autism who disappeared from his New Jersey home and was believed to have been in New York City was found safe Saturday at Penn Station, his family said.

Adam Rogers, of Point Pleasant, New Jersey, boarded a train to New York City on Friday and left his bike at the train station, his mother said. The family tracked his credit card purchases and found he had bought something at Penn Station at 2 p.m. on Friday.

When family arrived at the location Saturday, they found the teenager unharmed. He had apparently left home after a fight with his mother over keeping his room clean, his family said.

Adam is high-functioning but lacks judgment, his family said. He has left home without permission before but usually has stayed nearby and was found quickly.
