A 10-month-old baby died Friday morning after nearly drowning at a Jersey City residence last Saturday, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
No arrests have been made and the investigation into the incident is ongoing, Suarez said.
The incident happened at a home on Sixth Street on May 7, said city spokesperson Jennifer Morrill.
A source told NJ.com the baby was being bathed in a tub with his older toddler sister. The grandmother of the infant told police she left the room and the kids were alone in the tub for three minutes, according to the publication.
