3 Charged in Deadly Attack on New Jersey Man

Three people have been charged in the murder of a New Jersey man on Thursday, police say.

Moises Rivera, 57, was walking in West New York shortly after midnight on June 4 when he was approached by three men who attacked him and knocked him to the ground. Investigators believe that the motivation for the attack was robbery.

Bystanders called 911 and tried to help Rivera, who was hit in the head during the attack. He was transported to Jersey City Medical Center with severe head trauma, and died later in the morning from his injuries.

West New York police stopped three people on Friday night in connection with the brutal attack.

Franklin J. Turcios, 20, Jerrisson Reynoso, 25, and Munir Kader, 21, were charged with felony murder and robbery Saturday. They were each being held on $250,000 bail Saturday evening.
