Ivy League Grad From Long Island Dies in Car Crash on Way Home to Vote After Tutoring: Uncle

The Long Island man who died when the SUV he was driving crashed in Connecticut was a graduate of an Ivy League university and a talented musician who was on his way home to vote.

Police say 23-year-old Reed Latrowski, of Rockville Centre, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at about 4 a.m. Tuesday on Route 7 south in Brookfield.

Latrowski's uncle, John Suydam, tells the Connecticut Post that his nephew graduated from Dartmouth College last year with a degree in history and was returning home to vote after tutoring a family friend in Connecticut.

The uncle says Latrowski also attended the Professional Performing Arts School in New York City and was an actor.

The crash remains under investigation.
