Investigators are seeking a motive for the fatal shooting of a 27-year-old man in Newark.
Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray says police responding to reports of shots fired early Friday found Edison Javier Vasquez Naranjo unresponsive outside a home in the 200 block of Fourth Street.
Naranjo was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
No other injuries were reported in the shooting.
No arrests have been made.
