Woman Charged in Easter Drug Death of 6-Year-Old Daughter

A Westchester County woman has been charged in the drugging death of her 6-year-old daughter on Easter. 

Former nurse Kathleen Dymes pleaded not guilty Wednesday to faces charges of criminally negligent homicide, child endangerment and drug possession in the death of her daughter, Lacey Carr.

Carr's father called 911 when he couldn't wake her from her bed April 5. Dymes was found unconscious on the floor next to her daughter's bed.

Authorities say Carr had ingested a fatal dose of Benadryl, morphine and diazepam, an antidepressant.

Prosecutors say Dymes knew the drugs would cause her daughter's death.

A Westchester County Court judge set her bail at $25,000.

Her attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
