A 22-year-old Essex County College student was rushing to catch a bus Wednesday morning when he was struck and killed by an NJ Transit bus, authorities said.
Deshon L. Johnson, of Montclair, was on his way to work when he was hit by the bus, around Broad Street and Bay in Bloomfield. He was pronounced dead around 11 a.m.
No charges have yet been filed. The investigation is ongoing.
