A New Rochelle mom has been arrested after she allegedly left her 3-year-old child at home alone to go to a bar, police say.
The mom had her child for the day on Saturday while the toddler's father was at work, according to police. But when the father came home that night, he allegedly found the child alone in the apartment.
Authorities say he tried to contact the mom but could not reach her.
Police say they came to the apartment and canvassed the area for the mom, finding her in a nearby bar. She was then arrested on child endangerment charges.
The child was not harmed and is with the father, authorities say.
