Bronx Woman Missing After Walking Dog is Found: Police

A 42-year-old mother from the Bronx who was reported missing after taking her dog for a walk on June 14 has been reunited with her family, police said Sunday.

Diana Perez turned up at about 4 p.m. Sunday, police said. Officials offered no information about her whereabouts or her condition.

Police said hours after Perez left her home in Parkchester, her deaf dog was found tied to a standpipe, more than three miles away at 156th Street and Bruckner Boulevard. The dog, Snow White, was injured and can no longer walk.

Perez did not take her wallet or cellphone with her, family said.

Fliers had gone up all over the neighborhood and on Bruckner Boulevard.  Perez seemed to know everyone, including at the school where she volunteers and at the pet shop where she helps out.
