Man Missing Since Leaving NYC Nightclub in November Found Dead in New Jersey: NYPD

A 23-year-old Manhattan man missing since November was found dead in the Hudson River in New Jersey on Christmas Day, police say.

Anthony Urena of the Upper West Side was last seen leaving Inwood nightclub Cliff Lounge at about 5 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, police said.

He was found in the Hudson River in Hoboken last Friday, the NYPD says.

The medical examiner in Newark has not yet determined a cause of death. No further details were immediately available.

Police believe he drowned and that the death was accidental.

Urena, a student at Lehman College, was believed to have been intoxicated when he left the club, the Daily News reports

"I didn't want him to be found this way," his mother Judith Lopez told the News. "I guess it gives us the peace of mind, knowing that he was found, but I didn't want it to be this way."

Family members told the newspaper Urena was a straight-laced young man who was studying to become an accountant.
