Police say a 77-year-old woman and her 2-year-old and 11-month-old granddaughters who vanished from the woman's home Monday evening have been found.
Authorities say Barbara Atis was last seen walking away from her Lexington Place home in Elizabeth with her two young grandchildren around 5:15 p.m. She had been babysitting them, police said.
She and the children were found Tuesday morning in Newark, about three miles from the Elizabeth home where they were last seen.

It was not immediately clear where they had been overnight.
Officials said Atis appeared disoriented and couldn't say what had happened. She and the children were being checked out at a hospital.
