Missing Woman With Autism Last Seen Boarding City Bus

A 20-year-old woman with autism went missing Friday after boarding a bus to school in front of her family's home in Brooklyn, authorities said.

Naimah Biggs was last seen by her mother on Friday at about 6:50 a.m. as she boarded the bus in front of her Crown Heights home on Buffalo Avenue near Herkimer Street, the advocacy group Advocates Without Borders Network said in a statement.

Her relatives have reached out to the NYPD and community leaders to help locate her.

"We are calling on all of our community and media contacts, friends and family to assist in helping to get this young lady home for the holidays safely,” Brooklyn activist Tony Herbert said in a statement.

Biggs was wearing a black jacket, pink sneakers and purple pants when she disappeared. She’s about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 185 pounds. She can communicate verbally, but is not high-functioning and has characteristics of a 12-year-old.

Family members said the B12 bus Biggs took was headed to the East New York neighborhood and believe that’s where she may be lost.
