Miracle on the Hudson Now Part of NY Waterway Cruise

As if the Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge weren't enough to keep tourists' cameras clicking, one of NY Waterway's Skyline cruises is now adding the Miracle on the Hudson to the itinerary.

During the 90-minute tour of New York Harbor, cruisers can now watch an eight-minute video on a large, flat-screen TV that highlights January's landing of US Airways Flight 1549 on the Hudson River. The video is complete with commentary from NY Waterway crew members, and as it plays, tour guides point out the exact spots where the landing and rescue occurred.

All 155 people aboard the plane survived after it lost power in both engines and had to make the emergency landing on the river.

Pilot Chesley Sullenberger was hailed a hero after the safe landing, earning the adulation of an entire nation, and the keys to New York City from Mayor Bloomberg.
