Miracle on Hudson Movie Begins Shooting in NYC

The Clint Eastwood-directed drama depicting the Miracle on the Hudson has started shooting on the Hudson River.

Cameras from the Top of the Rock in the Comcast Building captured the activity Wednesday afternoon. A barge has been set up on the river off West 38th Street, and a ferry was seen offloading people onto the floating set.

The Coast Guard told NBC 4 New York the biopic of pilot Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger began its barge shoot on Monday and will continue through Friday, weather permitting.

Warner Bros. says filming will also take place in North Carolina, Atlanta and Los Angeles.

The film will star Tom Hanks as Sullenberger, Aaron Eckhart as co-pilot Jeff Skiles and Laura Linney as Sullenberger's wife, Lorraine Sullenberger.

Warner Bros. announced in June that Eastwood would be directing and producing the not-yet-titled drama adapted from Sullenberger's 2009 memoir.
