Men Steal Thousands of Dollars in Cigarettes From Two Brooklyn Rite Aids in Minutes: Police

Two men stole thousands of dollars in cigarettes from two different Brooklyn drug stores within minutes, police say.

Police say in the early morning hours Wednesday two men walked into the Rite Aid on Smith Street in Carroll Gardens and took $4,000 worth of cigarettes off the shelves. The two men then ran out of the store and away from the area.

Officials said ten minutes later, the same pair walked into a nearby Rite Aid in Coble Hill and swiped another $4,000 worth of cigarettes off the shelves. The duo fled in a black car.

Police on Wednesday night released surveillance images of the men in hopes that somebody will recognize them.
