Manhole Explosions Cut Power on Upper West Side

Several buildings were without power after four manholes exploded on the Upper West Side

Manhole explosions caused power outages Wednesday night to several buildings on the Upper West Side, officials say. 

Four manholes exploded in the area of 72nd Street and Riverside Drive, causing some buildings to lose power, according to Con Edison.

The utility company is investigating what caused the underground explosions.
